Dr. Howington provided billable service through an Indian (Offshore) consulting/contracting firm in the Financial Securities Exchange Industry Domain as a Lead QA Test Analyst automating the System Integration Regression Testing for the Wealth Management System (WMS) that settles mutual fund orders and other pooled investment products. Quality Assurance (QA), starts the engagement with the Project Strategy (PSA), and spans the Analysis and Design Strategy (ADS), Test Aproach (TA), Test Plan (including Assembly Testing (AT), Systems Integration Testing (SIT), Operational Readiness/Stress Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Deployment/Migration), Test Execution Daily Status Reports (DSR), Clear Quest Defect Tracking Change Requests, Project Status Reports (PSR), and Post Test Summary (PTR) duties. Durinng the QA process, the Business Planning Estimate (BPE), Business Case Estimate (BCE) and Feasibility (FS) are revisited. Tools utilized include HP Unifiied FunctionTester/ Quick Test Pro with Clearquest for defect tracking,, Web interfaces (CSF and CWF), IBM MQ, CICS, DB2, Sybase, COBOL and test data generation using Excel Macros and trained in Selenium. The job included writing UNIX scripts to schedule AUTOSYS submission of jobs to the mainframe with set up for .CA-7

For Infosys, in the Energy Domain, roles: Technical Lead, Architect, Analyst, Mentor, Business Analyst, QA, and Scrum Master. Assigned the role of a Business Analysis using Rational Quality Manager (RM (requirements management and stories), CCM (change and config management) QM (quality management test plans, test cases and test scripts) on an Agile project with Quick-to-Market Waterfall deliverables and scheduling, for a large web-based java front end to mainframe CICS/DB2 back end application. Applications: Quality Center QA/Testing for fpl.com (web-based customer account interface), Billing, Accounts Receivable, Credits and Debits.

In the energy domain, in the assigned role of a Technical Lead implemented several ADRs (Application Development Requests) for a large Waterfall project with CICS, DB2, Oracle data warehouses, COBOL, Changeman, Remedy, CA7. Responsibilities included Requirements, Technical Design, Scheduling, Program Specifications, Code Review, Change Management and versioning, Test Cases and Scripts, Unit Test, System Test, Migration, Implementation, indoctrination, training of a new Business Analyst, and off-shore resources liaison. Applications: ADRs for Collections Risk Assessment and CS-Revenue Recovery within the CIS2 (Customer Information System): recording risk evaluation used for assessing deposit amounts; for CS-Revenue Recovery: Final Notices, and CONP (Cancel for Non-Pay (recording the disconnection of the meter). The job included writing UNIX scripts to schedule AUTOSYS submission of jobs to the mainframe with set up for CA-7.

For Infosys, contracted in the transportation/shipping domain for a large nationwide railroad company as a mainframe lead in the accounts payable misc. invoices and the accounts receivable special receipts department, with applications in the mainframe environment, Unix AIX servers, Web based online services, SAP and Informatica interfaces. Experiences included COBOL, Unix BASH scripts, PUTTY, DB2 SQL, JAVA, HTML, jscripts, CSS, XML, SQLI, CHANGEMAN, WRR, MARIMBA, FORTIFY, CONTROL-M, CA7, full life cycle SDLC documentation from project initiation, requirements, estimates, impact analysis, test plans, coding and testing reviews, through migration and implementation with tracking through MKS/WMR "Project Management tools, provided on-call support and customer support and off-shore liaison responsibilities. The job included writing UNIX scripts to schedule AUTOSYS submission of jobs to the mainframe with set up for CA-7.

For Infosys, contracted with a large nationwide department store retailer as a mainframe lead to assist the lead, who has been on project for about a year, with finishing up design and with off-shore liaison responsibilities. Project was in Acceptance Testing, about to implement upon arrival. Performance including the coding, testing and implementation of several utilities to manipulate data, including SORT, COBOL code, TERRADATA Loads, Unloads, BTEQs, and table creations, DB2 loads, unloads and table creations. Assisted other projects by documenting and enhancing large CICS transactions that interacted with service requests to/from a Web application and the DB2 data warehouse and by supporting UAT testing with various DB2 utilities to CREATE, UNLOAD, LOAD, IMAGE COPY, RESTORE , CHECK, RECOVER, and XMIT very large DB2 tables. The job included modifying batch JCL and the submission of jobs to the mainframe with set up for CA-7.

Outside of Infosys, for a small service business created a scheduling, book keeping and reporting application to run in the WINDOWS environment using VISUAL BASIC with EXCEL as its database.

10/2010 - 02/2013: Family Medicine Clinic

Provided business and Clinic Office management for an internal medicine clinic handling staffing, scheduling, credentialing, contracts, leases, employee payroll and benefits, accounting, reporting and supervision of office staff. Covered insurance policy and claims administration, medical case bills and treatment codes, Medicare and Medicaid processing, and medical records. Exercised direct supervision over professional nursing staff, medical records staff, reception and scheduling staff and billing/claims staff while personally handling all correspondences, legal matters, supplies, book-keeping, licensing, accreditation, training and CME, customer service, banking and payroll. Selected, installed and converted data into a new compliant Practice Management cloud-based software system. Wrote a computer database application that backed up all patient demographic and billing data housed in the online system. Wrote a computer application to replace the manual punch card time clock that reported bi-weekly payroll hours. This time clock was quickly implemented in Visual Basic and then redesigned as an OO application project with use cases and UML models and rewritten in Java.

For a merger consolidation/conversion project: extracted and reformatted data from the TERADATA Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). Wrote crosswalks and interfaces to other systems. Also loaned to other projects to code and implement data model modifications and new Dimensional Data Models. Also loaned to other projects to code and implement data warehouse ETLs (extracts, updates, loads), COGNOS reports and other deliverables.

During off-hours and non-billable time: Completed a course in Advance OO and Java Concepts and a course in JDBC (Java Relational Data Base) Application Programming; wrote JAVASCRIPT and XML to process a form on a web page for a small business that did not want to use 3rd party CGIs; modified and updated web pages using HTML and PhP; sold and implemented internet advertising packages; installed new desktop PCs while switching the accounting software from Peachtree to Quicken Premier and tutoring the staff in the use of the software for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and general ledger. /p>

11/2003 - 12/2008: Family Medicine Clinic

Business Manager for the internal medicine doctor's clinic. Replaced the office manager, replaced the credit card processing system, replaced the banking facility, completed all re-verification processes for all insurance carriers, streamlined the billing statement processing and implemented an employee cross-training program. Advised the provider on all business matters including staffing, contracts, leases, employee benefits, employee evaluations and salary adjustments. Continued ongoing monitoring of office productivity and accounting auditing. /p>

1/1998-12/2005: Assurant Employee Benefits, formerly known as Fortis Benefits

Because of extensive diversity of knowledge and skills a one-year project with this client was renewed each year to stretch into an eight-year contract. Services for Y2k assignments led into several other projects and developments. Project Lead, Architect, Technical Lead and Team Supervisor for several projects, most related to converting six mainframe systems to a client-server ORACLE database system. Frequently loaned to various projects involving the Data Warehouse, CICS, and Hub Communications, to design, and occasionally code, technical solutions. Provided detailed designs, specifications, mentoring and supervision for teams of offshore developers. Supervised several teams developing differing interfaces, providing technical assistance, code review, mentoring, coaching and training on all development tools and methods. Coded stored procedures and database triggers then taught client personnel how to develop them. Became a member of the clients' Triggers SWAT team with the responsibility for the review and/or design of any interfaces needing access or control of the ORACLE data. Also reviewed and approved vendor software products and updates. /p>Provided technical assistance and coded reviews for a project to do GUI interfaces between ACCESS and DB2 Connect (using ODBC).
